Baku. 24 October. REPORT.AZ/ The deputies will remand the presents that cost more than AZN 55 to Milli Majlis according to the act in Azerbaijan.
Report informs that the change is made to the law 'On rules of ethical behavior of Milli Majlis members of the Republic of Azerbaijan'.
According to the paragraph 10.1.1 which is added to the article 10, the deputy cannot accept a present that cost more than 55 AZN from any individual or legal entity, as well as cannot offer such a present to any individual or legal entity in connection with the execution of his / her duties.
According to Article 10.3 which is added to the law, if the deputy is illegally offered material and other benefits, privileges or discounts he/she should refuse. If material or other benefits, privileges or discounts are given to the deputy for reasons beyond his control, he/she should informs Milli Majlis’s Disciplinary Commission and deliver the gift that costs more than 55 AZN to the Office of the Milli Majlis according to the act.
The draft amendment will be discussed at the next plenary session of the Milli Majlis.
