Azerbaijan amends legislation on increasing labor pensions

Baku. 15 February. REPORT.AZ/ Milli Majlis raises the draft amendments to the Law on Labor Pensions.

Report informs that the change is related to the increase of the minimum amount of labor pensions.

According to the draft submitted by President Ilham Aliyev to the Parliament on the legislative initiative, the text of Article 6-1 (Minimum Amount of Labor Pensions) is provided in the new edition: "The minimum amount of the labor pensions is set at 160 AZN from 1 March 2019. If the amount of the labor pension is lower than the minimum wage, it shall be repaid on the same amount. "

The current text of the article is as follows: "Minimum amount of labor pensions is set at 110 AZN from July 1, 2017."

The draft law will be discussed at the plenary session of the parliament on February 19.
