2226 candidates applied for parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan

"So far, 2226 candidates have applied to take part in the early parliamentary elections scheduled for Feb. 9 in Azerbaijan."
Report informs, CEC Chairman Mazahir Panahov said at today's meeting.
He said 461 people nominated by 19 political parties, 16 by initiative groups, and 1749 individually: "Of them, 2066 have already been confirmed, and 1903 have received their signature lists. 580 people filled out the signature sheets and returned them. 285 persons out of them were registered".
