125 candidates for deputy registered in Azerbaijan

"So far, 2,454 people have applied to take part in the early parliamentary elections scheduled for February 9, 2020, in Azerbaijan."

Report cites Chairman of the Central Election Commission (CEC) Mazahir Panahov as saying today's meeting.

He said 19 political parties nominated 457 candidates: "15 were nominated by initiative groups, while 1,673 run individually."

Mazahir Panahov said that CEC has already confirmed the candidacy of 1954 people:

"1747 of them have already received the signature sheets, 381 returned them, and 125 were registered."
