Zakir Hasanov orders army to be ready for resolute suppression of any provocations

Defense Minister Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov ordered the military to always be ready to suppress any provocations.

Hasanov spoke at today's official meeting at the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan, Report informs, citing the ministry.

During the meeting, the operational conditions and the current situation on the Azerbaijani-Armenian state border and in the temporary deployment zone of the Russian peacekeeping contingent on the territory of Azerbaijan were analyzed in detail.

Emphasizing the tension that may arise as a result of the recent intensive shelling of the positions of the Azerbaijani army by the Armenian armed forces in the direction of the Kalbajar and Lachin districts, the Minister of Defense ordered to always be ready for the immediate and decisive suppression of any provocations.
