Weapons showcased by Azerbaijan at international exhibition in Turkey revealed

At the IDEF 2021, 15th International Defense Industry Fair in Istanbul, Azerbaijan showcased a 7.62 mm Yalguzag sniper rifle, an anti-tank hand grenade, a 2A42 automatic cannon, an NST-14.5 machine gun, and other types of weapons, Javid Mammadov, a specialist of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense Industry, an honored engineer, told the Turkish bureau of Report.

He also noted that the exhibition features 60- and 82-mm mortars, which have shown their effectiveness during the Patriotic War.

“For the first time since the victory in the Patriotic War, the products of the Azerbaijani defense industry are being demonstrated at an international exhibition,” he added.

Mammadov reminded that the exhibition features weapons from more than 50 countries.

The IDEF 2021, 15th International Defense Industry Fair, is taking place August 17-20 in Istanbul under the auspices of the Administration of the President of Turkey and with the organizational support of the Ministry of National Defense of this country.
