Ukrainian combat commander: In last month, 60 Russian tanks were destroyed in direction of Lysychansk

In the last month, 60 Russian tanks were destroyed by only one unit of Ukraine in the direction of Lysychansk, Roman Solohub, the combat commander of the Ukrainian army, said in his interview with the Eastern European bureau of Report.

"The enemy has heavy losses in equipment. It is much more than what was recorded because it is impossible to record the moment of hitting each time. For example, if objects destroyed by strikes of artillery units were not captured by air reconnaissance, this becomes a silent operational task and is not recorded anywhere," said Solohub.

The combat commander emphasized that the situation is "hot", especially in the direction of Seversk:

"Air reconnaissance identifies moving equipment as well as implements standard reconnaissance procedures. Then the artillery starts working. So if the enemy appears with heavy equipment like a tank and becomes easy bait, they are all destroyed. For example, if they come with 7-8-10 tanks, we practically destroy all of them."

According to him, most of the tanks are destroyed by anti-tank missile systems:

"Aerial surveillance confirms the accuracy of air strikes. Beautiful shots are taken. Damaged equipment becomes unusable. Even repair crews have no work to do. In other words, air reconnaissance identifies the enemy and records its destruction for reporting."
