Some 227 people tried to enter Azerbaijan with fake documents

In 2021, 3,443,800 people and 953,000 vehicles that crossed the state border of Azerbaijan were registered, Report informs, citing the annual report on the activities of the Cabinet of Ministers in 2021.

The report says that 1,705,400 people and 480,000 vehicles entered the country, 1,738,400 people and 473,000 vehicles left. In general, 227 people were detained, while trying to cross the state border using forged documents, 4 for using other people's documents, and 3 for bypassing routes. Appropriate decisions were taken regarding all the detainees.

Necessary measures were taken against 3,211 people who did not have the right to cross the state border (unsuitable document). 244 people were registered for deportation and 62 for extradition.
