Soldiers of Azerbaijani Army who died in Lachin to be given status of martyr

Soldiers Aliyev Tahir Chingiz and Khudiyev Samir Samad, active military servicemen of the Azerbaijan Army, who died while performing a military mission in the Lachin district, will be given the status of martyr, Report informs.

On August 5, while performing a military mission in difficult terrain in Lachin, a piece of rock that broke off from the cliffs fell on the active military servicemen of the Azerbaijan Army, soldier Samir Khudiyev and soldier Aliyev Tahir. As a result, soldier Khudiyev died on the spot from his injuries. Another soldier Aliyev Tahir Chingiz, seriously injured due to the fall of a piece of rock, also died in the Lachin district.

A criminal case has been launched, and an investigation is underway.
