Azerbaijan dismisses reports on Armenian soldier's death by sniper fire

Official and unofficial representatives of Armenia have recently been making baseless allegations about violations of the ceasefire, forest fires, cattle theft, various pressures on villagers by Azerbaijani service members, and other issues, the Ministry of Defense told Report.

The information spread in the Armenian media today about the death of an Armenian serviceman by the Azerbaijani sniper fire is also false and provocative.

The Azerbaijani Army units did not open fire in the direction indicated in the information.

"We state that the crimes and bloody incidents in the Armenian army are the results of arbitrariness and military hazing prevailing there, and these events have nothing to do with the Azerbaijani Army," the Defense Ministry said.
