Turkiye is able to meet the defense needs of friendly and allied countries such as Azerbaijan, Libya, and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Minister of National Defense of Turkiye Hulusi Akar said at the opening ceremony of SAHA EXPO 2022 Defence and Aerospace Exhibition.
According to him, one of the main reasons for Turkiye becoming a country that ensures security in the region and the world is the development of the national defense industry:
"Our country has broken grounds in this field. We are already a state that produces our own weapons, drones, helicopters, missiles, and ships. We will also make our own national fighter and tank as soon as possible."
