Azerbaijan's Chief of General Staff checks combat readiness of military units in Kalbajar

First Deputy Minister of Defense - Chief of the General Staff of the Azerbaijani Army, Colonel-General Karim Valiyev checked the combat readiness of the military units stationed in the Kalbajar district, Report informs, citing the Defense Ministry of Azerbaijan.

The Chief of the General Staff got acquainted with the organization of troop service and combat duty, as well as the social and living conditions of servicemen. It was noted that thanks to the attention and care of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ilham Aliyev, all the necessary conditions have been created to ensure a high level of combat training of the troops.

Having met with the personnel on combat duty at the Kalbajar section of the state border, Colonel-General Karim Valiyev inquired about their concerns, awarded the servicemen who distinguished themselves in the service and wished them success.

Then the Chief of the General Staff held a meeting with the commanding staff of the military formation. Colonel-General Karim Valiyev brought to the attention of the meeting participants the tasks set by the Supreme Commander-in-Chief for the Azerbaijani Army.

In conclusion, the instructions of the Minister of Defense Zakir Hasanov were delivered to the commanding officers.
