Azerbaijan explains advantages of demining equipment from Turkey

Chief of the Engineering Troops of the Azerbaijani Army, Major General Anar Karimov, announced the advantages of the mechanical mine-clearing equipment bought from Turkey.

Report quotes the general as saying that the Turkey-made equipment will reduce the time required to clear the area of mines and unexploded ordnance through the application of mechanical demining equipment.

"These vehicles are armored and controlled from a distance of up to 500 meters. They are unmanned. Therefore, in the event of any explosions in the mined area, the personnel will be secured from injuries," Karimov said.
