Azerbaijan and Pakistan mull military cooperation

Azerbaijan's Ministry of Defense and the Joint Staff of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan held their 9th meeting in Rawalpindi on the level of the Azerbaijani-Pakistani working group.
Report says, citing the Defense Ministry, that Major General Huseyn Makhmudov, chief of the International Military Cooperation Department, led the Azerbaijani delegation.
During the meeting, the sides discussed the current state and prospects for the development of military cooperation and issues of regional security. They also mulled the strengthening of friendly relations between the two armies, as well as the conduct of joint events in 2020. The sides signed a protocol upon completion of the meeting.
