Press Council proposes to include 5 mass media in a "black list"

Baku. 10 March. REPORT.AZ/ Meeting of commission of the Press Council of Azerbaijan held today devoted to anti-racket-journalism activities.

Report informs the committee chairman, chief editor of Iki Sahil newspaper Vugar Rahimzade noted that the discussion is recommended to make 18 questions, of which 7 are presented by the Commission to the complaints, and the rest - by the secretariat.

According to the members of the commission, the analysis showed that the "black list" of the Press Council may include the names of three newspapers and two information portals.They are the newspaper "Yukselen Azerbaijan" (Yüksələn Azərbaycan), Azerbaijan Namine (Azərbaycan naminə), Haggyn sedasy press (Haqqın sədası press) and the sites Jam.az and Iskra.az.

Also it was noted that the activity of these medias contradict the principles of the Rules of Professional behavior of Azerbaijani journalists.
