Parliament member stresses need for certification of journalists

"It was necessary to create a bill 'On Media,' because a long time has passed since the adoption of the old one. New realities have already emerged in the country. Therefore, the information system of the winning nation should be worthy of the name of the winner country," MP Elman Nasirov said at a joint meeting of the Parliamentary Committees for Legal Policy and State-Building and Human Rights during the discussion of the bill "Media".

He said that the certification of journalists is acceptable:

"Some journalists came to this profession in certain ways. Today, there are enough media representatives who convey the country's realities to both domestic and international arenas. However, there is a great need for foreign language journalists working for an international audience."
