Influential Peruvian newspaper writes about Azerbaijan

One of Peru’s leading media outlets, La Razon, has published an article titled “Importance of restoring Peruvian embassy in Azerbaijan underlined” by Ricardo Sanchez, a well-known Peruvian journalist and vice-president of the Peruvian Federation of Journalists, Report informs referring to the Azerbaijani Embassy in Mexico.

The article is dedicated to the solemn event in connection with the Independence Day of Azerbaijan and the 270th anniversary of the city of Shusha, which was attended by the speaker of the Peruvian Congress, chairman of the Commission on Foreign Relations, head of the European Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, numerous leaders and employees diplomatic corps, congressmen, etc.

In the article, Azerbaijani Ambassador to Peru, Mammad Talibov, provides detailed information about the history of the first Azerbaijan Democratic Republic, which 104 years ago ensured equal rights for all citizens in the East. “Today Azerbaijan is an independent, multinational and multi-confessional country that has achieved peace, security and stability in the region, and thanks to the implementation of world-class projects, our country has quickly become a regional leader as one of the most successful and dynamic economies,” the ambassador emphasized.

The publication notes the 44-day Patriotic War, which put an end to the aggressive policy of Armenia that lasted about 30 years. It was mentioned that Azerbaijan restored the territorial integrity, as well as the fundamental rights of about one million Azerbaijanis.

Then Talibov spoke about the restoration work in the liberated territories, according to the article.
