Azerbaijani journalists visit TECHNOPARK production complex in Tashkent

Azerbaijani journalists visited the TECHNOPARK production complex in Tashkent as part of a media tour of Uzbekistan.

According to a Report correspondent in Tashkent, the journalists were introduced to the operations of one of Central Asia's largest high-tech production complexes, which brings together around 20 industrial projects in household appliances, electrical products, construction materials and industrial equipment.

The complex covers 94 hectares, with around 50 hectares occupied by production facilities. The remaining area is allocated to green spaces and administrative buildings. More than 5,400 jobs have been created at TEXNOPARK enterprises.

During the visit, representatives of Azerbaijani media toured production lines and learned about household appliance manufacturing processes.

The complex produces Samsung-branded refrigerators, as well as household appliances under the Artel and Avalon brands. The facility has the capacity to produce up to 1 million refrigerators annually, with around 70% of the output intended for export.

The journalists also visited facilities producing washing machines, commercial refrigerators and freezers. The enterprises are focused not only on supplying Uzbekistan's domestic market but also on expanding exports.

Another section of TEXNOPARK specializes in industrial equipment. It produces industrial air conditioners and cooling systems, water pumps and pumping stations, industrial hot-water boilers, solar water heaters and collectors, as well as other equipment.

The complex also manufactures industrial boilers under the Italian Ferroli brand. The facility produces 25 boiler models with capacities ranging from 92 kW to 6 MW. The journalists were also shown the production of solar water heaters and collectors, which are particularly relevant for Uzbekistan given the country's large number of sunny days throughout the year.

Participants of the media tour were also briefed on the production of copper pipes. According to TEXNOPARK representatives, cathode copper is used in the manufacturing process, while the entire subsequent production cycle is carried out within the complex, ensuring a high level of localization.

TEXNOPARK products are currently exported to a number of countries, including Belarus, Türkiye, Romania, Mongolia, Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Armenia, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkmenistan.

As part of the complex's further development, an automated logistics center is also planned.
