Appeals after termination of analog broadcasting in Azerbaijani districts unveiled

Baku. 12 December. REPORT.AZ/ "About 50 000 appeals were received at Hot line (14-11) after termination of analog broadcasting in Baku and Absheron as well as in most districts."

Zohra Afandiyeva, Chief of the Technical Department of the Radio and Television Broadcasting and Satellite Communication Production Union (Teleradio PU) of the Ministry of Communications and High Technologies told Report.

She said that number of appeals from the districts less compared to Baku: "We have received 2275 appeals after termination of analog TV broadcasting. People mainly interested, where to acquire decoders and how to use them."

Z.Afandiyeva noted that currently, 100 digital TV transmitters operating across the country to provide social package broadcasting.

Notably, analogue TV broadcasting was suspended in Baku and Absheron on November 1, in majority of the districts on December 1-10.
