Over 400 journalists die from coronavirus worldwide

According to the head of the Union of Journalists of Russia, Vladimir Solovyev, more than 400 journalists worldwide have become victims of the coronavirus infection.

"Only the notorious coronavirus remained unpunished, that killed more than 400 of our colleagues. And this virus has dealt a serious blow to the entire media industry, not only in our country but throughout the world, "he said.

According to Solovyev, journalists have already learned how to work in new conditions, but the next few months will be difficult.

The novel coronavirus (COVID-19) emerged in late 2019 in China's Hubei province, and the virus has spread to 213 countries and territories since then.

On February 11, the WHO officially named the 2019 novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) as COVID-19, and on March 11, declared it a pandemic.
