UK to continue cooperation with Azerbaijan on demining Karabakh

The UK will continue cooperating with the Mine Action Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ANAMA) to clear mines and unexploded ordnance in Azerbaijan’s liberated territories, political attaché of the British Embassy in Azerbaijan Abby Lauren Motherwell said in Shusha at a conference organized by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and ANAMA, Report informs.

According to her, British experts are expected to be even more actively involved in the demining of the liberated territories of Azerbaijan.

“There are many challenges in the demining that need to be addressed by joint efforts. The UK understands that mines are harmful to the biosphere, the environment and, first of all, of course, a threat to human life,” said Abby Lauren Motherwell.
