State Commission: Work underway to identify human remains found in mass grave in Dashalti

Work is underway to identify the remains of Azerbaijanis killed by Armenians and buried in a mass grave in Dashalti village of Shusha, Azerbaijani State Commission on Prisoners of War, Hostages and Missing Persons said, Report informs.

It was noted that on February 17, 2021, excavation work was carried out in the mass grave identified in the Dashalti village of Shusha: “Military structures carried out excavation. The remains of about 25 people were removed from there and taken away. Currently, identification of the recovered remains is underway.”

According to the information, about 100 Azerbaijani soldiers were killed in the Dashalti operation.

The State Commission said that 44 people were registered as missing persons in the Dashalti operation.
