Tehran seems to fear that its influence in the South Caucasus is on the wane and is thus resorting to increasingly absurd and self-defeating tactics, Jason Epstein, president of Southfive Strategies LLC, a public affairs consultancy based in Washington and New York, told Report, сommenting on the speech of Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian.
Epstein said the minister's unsupported accusation sounds very much like projection.
“If any entity in the larger region is expert in bringing in and directing terrorist proxies to fight their battles and engage in war crimes, it is the Iranian regime,” he added.
