Lavrov: Issue of ceasefire in Karabakh was addressed with participation of US and France

The issue of the ceasefire in Nagorno-Karabakh was resolved with the participation of both the United States and France. Their position as the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group was taken into account when making decisions.

Report informs, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said in an interview with RT.

"I do not think that the issue was resolved without the participation of the United States. Because, of course, the position of the three co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group - Russia, the United States, and France - which in the last month before the November 9 agreement was repeatedly stated at the level of presidents, ministers and special representatives of the co-chairing countries. This position in favor of an immediate end to the bloodshed and the development of a mechanism to control the ceasefire still politically and psychologically influenced the situation, "he said.

Lavrov stressed that the United States and France influence the countries of the region.
