Zakharova: Russia will contribute to continuation of dialogue on resolving Karabakh conflict

"Russia will contribute in every way to the continuation of the dialogue on the settlement of the long-standing conflict between Azerbaijan and Armenia," Spokeswoman for Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova said.

Report informs that Zakharova was commenting on the different positions of Azerbaijan and Armenia in statements following the talks in Bratislava.

According to her, the difference in positions on the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict is obvious, otherwise there would be no negotiation process.

"For our part, as a country that carries out the relevant international mediation functions, we will contribute in every way to the continuation of this dialogue on resolving of the already protracted and long-standing conflict and the conflict situation. We will do everything to ensure that the dialogue continues constructively and the parties can reach a mutually acceptable solution, " Zakharova said.
