Dilgam Asgarov: Armenians tortured me with electric shock, broke two fingers

"Hope did not leave me even when I was a hostage. I always said that the day would come and the Azerbaijani soldier will come here, and that is what happened. I congratulate my people on the victory," Report quotes released hostage Dilgam Asgarov.

Dilgam spoke at a press conference at the Center for Analysis of International Relations.

"I did not cross over to the territory of Armenia. They illegally arrested me in my native village and took me to Khankendi. There they broke two of my fingers. I have problems with the bones of my skull. During the week that I was in Khankendi, I was not fed. When I was detained, I weighed 105 kg, and now I am 55 kg. They hit me in the arms and chest with the machine gun. 15 people beat me during what they called an 'investigation.'

"I was tortured with electric shock in prison. They did it to make me speak against the Azerbaijani government, but I didn't do that," Asgarov noted.
