Putin did not reply directly to Pashinyan's letter

The Kremlin did not even consider it necessary to respond to a letter from Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan to Russian President Vladimir Putin asking for help. Instead of Putin, the Russian Foreign Ministry sent a reply to him, Report's Russian bureau informs.

The Foreign Ministry posted a response on the ministry's official website in the form of a statement.

"According to the agreement (on friendship, cooperation and mutual assistance between Russia and Armenia dated August 29, 1997 - ed.), Russia will provide all necessary assistance to Yerevan in the event of a direct military conflict on the territory of Armenia," the statement reads.
