Protest action on Khankandi-Lachin road enters its 20th day

The protest action against the illegal exploitation of mineral deposits in the Karabakh economic region of Azerbaijan continues on the Khankandi-Lachin road passing under the city of Shusha.

According to Report's correspondent who is at the scene, the rally, which began on the morning of December 12, continued throughout the December 31 night.

No incidents were recorded during the night.

The demonstrators traditionally started the day with the National Anthem of Azerbaijan.

Despite the frosty weather, eco-activists demonstrate posters and chant slogans in Azerbaijani, Russian and English without hindering the movement of vehicles through the road.

The requirements of the participants of the action remain the same.

The demonstrators continue to chant slogans: "Azerbaijan is the master of its mineral resources!", "End environmental crimes!", "Stop ecoterror!", "Protect nature!", "No ecocide! Yes to monitoring!".
