When the Azerbaijani territories were under occupation, products manufactured in Karabakh were exported as "Armenian products," defendant Bako Sahakyan said responding to questions from prosecutors representing the state's position in the trial at the Baku Military Court on March 14, Report informs.
"The products were sold under the name of Armenian companies," Sahakyan added.
He stated that during the occupation, Armenian citizens in Karabakh, and Armenian residents of the so-called "republic" living in Karabakh, were able to purchase real estate in Armenia with the status of citizens of that country and enjoy other rights: "Armenia was not considered a foreign country for us."
The trial is ongoing for Armenian citizens who face charges of crimes against peace and humanity, war crimes—including orchestrating and conducting an aggressive war, genocide, violations of the laws of war, terrorism, financing terrorism, forcible seizure and retention of power, and numerous other crimes linked to Armenia's military aggression.
