Erdogan: We will not leave Azerbaijan on its own

"We have never left and will not leave Azerbaijan on its own during the attacks of Armenia."

Report informs, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said.

“We will continue to act as a country that has achieved its goal with efforts,” - Erdogan added.

Previously, Turkish President has harshly condemned the recent Armenia border clash with Azerbaijan calling Yerevan´s moves in the region “reckless”.

“We are worried that the tension in this region has turned into a conflict due to reckless and systematic attacks by Armenia. Moreover, this last attack was not on the (contact) line, but directly on the borders between the two states and with heavy weapons. This shows that the incident is not a border violation or conflict, but a deliberate attack directly on Azerbaijan,” Erdogan was cited as saying during the cabinet meeting.

“Undoubtedly, this attack is an event that goes beyond Armenia,” Erdogan said, adding, “The aim is to block the process of the solution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict with a provocative approach and to reveal new conflict areas in the region.”
