Armenian armed provocations and border violations must be energetically condemned by international organizations and transatlantic governments, among them the United States Government, the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs of France, German Federal Foreign Office, and European Union Commission to mention a few, Peter Tase, an international relations expert, told Report, commenting on the provocation committed by Armenian armed forces.
"It is unacceptable that in the Press Conferences organized in the US Department of State, the regional security situation in the Caucasus and terrible consequences deriving from the fascist regime of Yerevan, are never addressed, and Washington remains absent from the geopolitical dialogue that is constantly evolving in regard to this territory of Eurasia," the expert noted.
He stressed that the OSCE Minsk Group of Co-Chairs must become relevant and denounce these acts of gross violation of the territorial sovereignty of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
"Until today, OSCE Minsk Group of Co-Chairs has remained very calm, and its actions are almost inexistent," Tase said.
He noted that the Armenian Government leaders must be held responsible for inciting armed clashes in the Southern Caucasus and must be sanctioned by Washington and Brussels.
"Armenia is ruled by corrupt autocrats whose inability to improve the lives of their countrymen makes them resort to military provocations while damaging and destroying the fragile regional security and harming democratic institutions in Europe. The violation of the November 10th ceasefire by the Armenian Armed Forces is an unprecedented act of turmoil, and Nikol Pashinyan and his close associates must be held responsible for committing acts of war in Europe. Washington must raise its voice and hold accountable the Armenian leadership for attempting to reignite a regional war with the Republic of Azerbaijan," the expert said.
He believes that the majority of Armenian political parties running the government attempt to use the recent armed provocations of June 1st, 2021, in the international border with Azerbaijan (Kalbajar District) for domestic propaganda objectives and to divert the nation's growing concern and attention towards the most immediate problems; economic crisis, high levels of contraband of tobacco products, growing levels of unemployment, drug and human trafficking and prevalence of organized crime running the international smuggling of nuclear (radioactive) materials.
Tase also believes that Secretary Antony Blinken can play a significant role towards strengthening the geopolitical presence of Washington in the Southern Caucasus by paying an official visit to Baku, which would be the most important accomplishment of the Biden Presidency and a historic milestone in bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and the United States of America.
