Pakistani envoy: Azerbaijani people returned their lands by their will and determination

The people of Azerbaijan, by their will and determination, managed to restore the territorial integrity of the country, Ambassador of Pakistan to Russia Shafqat Ali Khan said at an event in Moscow dedicated to the first anniversary of Azerbaijan’s Victory Day in the second Karabakh war, the Russian bureau of Report informs.

“The Azerbaijanis have long and patiently waited for a solution to the issue without resorting to military force. However, they had to use weapons. We are glad that the conflict was resolved. We are looking forward to the onset of an era of stability and peace for the entire region. We in Pakistan are looking for new prospects for strengthening relations with Azerbaijan,” he said.

“Today I am as happy as my Azerbaijani brothers and sisters, and once again I want to congratulate the Azerbaijani people and the Azerbaijani leadership,” the ambassador concluded.
