The memory of martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan has been honored with esteem in liberated Shusha.

Report informs that the moment's silence was observed at 12:00 pm (GMT+4) in the country's cities, including Shusha. People bowed their heads before the memory of fallen soldiers and officers and honored their memory with a minute of silence.

The tricolor flag of Azerbaijan was raised to the sounds of the State Anthem at the Flag Square, and the volley fire was launched into the air. Then the heroic sons of Azerbaijan marched towards the Shusha tower.

Under the Order of President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev dated December 2, 2020, September 27 was declared the Day of Remembrance in Azerbaijan as a sign of deep respect for all soldiers, officers, all martyrs who fought heroically during the Patriotic War and sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity of their country.

Today the commemorative events are held in all cities and districts, including the liberated territories. The martyrs' memory is honored with deep respect in all religious temples of Azerbaijan, including mosques, churches, synagogues, and prayers are recited for the souls of the heroic sons of the Motherland.
