Ilham Aliyev expresses condolences to families of martyred servicemen

On July 15, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev had a phone conversation with Samaya Khanum, the mother of Major General Polad Hashimov and Elvin, the son of Colonel Ilgar Mirzayev.
Major General Polad Hashimov and Colonel Ilgar Mirzayev were martyred on the frontline during the battle.
The head of state expressed his sincere condolences to the families of the martyrs and wished them patience. President Ilham Aliyev noted that our country would never forget the heroism of the servicemen fallen for the Motherland. Our army has taken their revenge and will continue to avenge of martyrs' blood. 
Samaya Hashimova and Elvin Mirzayev thanked President Ilham Aliyev for the phone call and condolences.
Starting from the afternoon on July 12, units of the Armenian armed forces, grossly violated the ceasefire on the direction of the Tovuz region of the Azerbaijani-Armenian state border.
As a result of the adequate steps undertaken by our units, the enemy was defeated and driven back suffering losses.
During the fighting, several service members of the Azerbaijan Army, including General-Major, were killed, and five were injured.
