Hungarian traveler impressed by pace of restoration of liberated territories

The topic of war is very sensitive; people should not fight because of differences in religion or ethnic origin.

Report quotes Hungarian traveler Ildiko Szabo, who is visiting the liberated territories of Azerbaijan as part of a group of famous travelers from 21 countries.

Ildiko Sabo said that she was shocked by the history of the Khojaly tragedy: "The history of Khojaly is terrifying. I was shocked when I heard about it."

"For me, war is always a very sensitive topic. I don't understand why people should be separated by religion, ethnic origin. In the end, ordinary citizens always become victims," the traveler said.

Commenting on her impressions of the trip, Ildiko Sabo noted that she was struck by the scale of the destruction seen, but also by the speed of restoration work: "It is very inspiring to see the reconstruction work in these territories. Thus, the new airport in Fuzuli was built in just eight months, new roads are being actively built."

On February 16, a three-day visit of famous foreign travelers to the liberated territories of Azerbaijan began. During the visit, they will get acquainted with the historical and cultural monuments in these territories, with the destruction committed by the Armenians during the occupation, as well as with the work to restore the infrastructure.

The day before they visited the cities of Shusha and Aghdam, and today they visited Kalbajar and Lachin.
