Hikmat Hajiyev speaks about security of oil and gas pipelines

"We do not need the involvement of any third party in ensuring security," Hikmat Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan - Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Administration, said in response to a question about the possible involvement of NATO or other international organizations in protecting the security of oil and gas pipelines through Azerbaijan.

According to him, Azerbaijan guarantees the security of oil and gas projects of international importance by its capabilities: "But at the same time, we are exchanging views with our counterparts and the leading companies associated with the project on strengthening the security of these infrastructures. But we do not need the involvement of any third party in providing protection."
