Department chief at Presidential Administration responds to Nikol Pashinyan

Baku. 28 February. REPORT.AZ/ "The format of negotiations on the settlement of the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict is clear and its change is not even a matter of discussion," Head of the Foreign Affairs Department at the Presidential Administration of Azerbaijan, Hikmat Hajiyev told Report.

Commenting on the statement of the Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on the format of the negotation process, Hajiyev said that the negotiations are held between Armenia and Azerbaijan, as the parties to the conflict, and are mediated by the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs: "The three meetings held between Ilham Aliyev and Nikol Pashinyan and four meetings of Armenian and Azerbaijani foreign ministers following the change of power in Armenia are the clear example that the negotiation process is held on the current format."

Claims by the Armenian leadership regarding the change of the negotiation process are nothing but a deliberate attempt to disrupt the negotiations and undermine the process. So, the Armenian side bears the entire responsibility in this regard."
