Farewell ceremony held for deceased Azerbaijani soldier - PHOTO

A farewell ceremony is underway in the Agjabadi region for the Azerbaijani serviceman, who was found dead in a neutral area on the Azerbaijan-Armenian border.

Locals accompanied the coffin from the district center to the soldier's house, Report's Karabakh Office informs.

Abbasov will be buried in the Alley of Martyrs in Agjabadi region.

Akif Abbasov went missing in January this year. He was later found dead on the Azerbaijan-Armenia border and taken away from the neutral territory on February 19. After the appeal and upon the consent of the parties, ICRC participated as a neutral intermediary.
