European commissioner: EU ready to help rebuilding Karabakh region

The EU is ready to provide support to overcome the aftermath of the Karabakh conflict and help rebuild the region, European Commissioner for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Oliver Varhelyi told reporters speaking about the results of his Baku visit, Report informs.
“We discussed Nagorno-Karabakh post-conflict plans and ideas, we have offered our support as the EU to overcome the aftermath of the conflict, for long-lasting peace. We see clear engagement by both sides in exchange of prisoners and maps, with the help of Georgia. We thank Georgia and its PM. We are also ready to contribute - whether economic or any other help on our behalf to continue on this path,” he added.
