President of the French Republic, Emmanuel Macron, made a phone call to the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev.
Emmanuel Macron expressed concern over the ongoing clashes on Armenia and Azerbaijan's contact line and called to restore the ceasefire and conduct negotiations soon.
President Ilham Aliyev said that due to heavy artillery shelling of Azerbaijani settlements by the Armenian armed forces, 19 civilians were killed, over 60 people were wounded, and hundreds of houses were destroyed. "Azerbaijan's Army has carried out successful counter-offensive operations and liberated part of our occupied territories."
The head of state also noted that Armenia dealt a significant blow to the negotiation process by constantly disrupting it. Ilham Aliyev emphasized that the Armenian leadership bears full responsibility for disrupting the talks and the outbreak of armed clashes.
