Turkey initially called for a diplomatic settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, but external players disagreed with Ankara’s position, continuing to support Armenia, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said.
Report informs referring to Anadolu Agency that Cavusoglu was speaking at the congress of the ruling Justice and Development Party’s Antalya branch on Feb. 1.
Cavusoglu noted that Azerbaijan had to take active steps amid the failure of peace initiatives and return what rightfully belongs to it.
"Azerbaijan returned its historical lands," he added.
