Jeyhun Bayramov: "Taking control of border with Iran is a guarantee of sovereignty"

"Our control of the Azerbaijani-Iranian border already means ensuring the sovereignty of our country in those territories. I think this is not just a border issue."

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said in an interview with Report's foreign bureau.

"We know that the occupying Armenian state and regime have been operating there illegally over the years. As you know, the region has been a center for illegal arms trafficking, drug trafficking, and many other covert activities. From this point of view, of course, it is a positive aspect for the United States, which pays special attention and importance to such issues as well as for the restoration of the sovereignty of Azerbaijan in that area."
