Azerbaijan’s position has always been based on international law. The territorial integrity of the country, the establishment of normal relations between two countries is extremely important, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said at a press conference following a meeting with his Slovak counterpart Ivan Korcok.
Bayramov noted that unblocking communications in the region will benefit all parties, in particular, Armenia itself.
"For this, the parties should fulfill their commitments. But, unfortunately, Armenia doesn’t fulfill some of the commitments. Thus, Armenia hasn’t yet withdrawn all its forces from the territories of Azerbaijan. We want to convey to them that this is an insult to the trilateral statement," said the minister.
He also added that after November 10, Azerbaijani citizens still die on mines planted by the Armenian side in the former conflict zone.
"The world community should put pressure on Armenia in this issue," Bayramov added.
