Baku highly appreciates Moscow's role in the normalization of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov told a press conference following the meeting with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov in Moscow.
He noted that the full implementation of bilateral statements is the key factor in normalizing relations between Baku and Yerevan.
However, unfortunately, a number of fundamental conditions of the tripartite statement are not being fulfilled: the Armenian armed formations have not been completely withdrawn from the territories of Azerbaijan, and the mine threat is still there. The foreign minister noted that 2,700 mines produced by Armenia in 2021 were found on the territory of Azerbaijan, which indicates that the Lachin corridor is not being used for its intended purpose.
