Korotchenko: Azerbaijani army set an example of warfare in 21st century

During the counter-terrorist operation to liberate the occupied lands, the Azerbaijani army has set an example of warfare in the 21st century. Report informs, chief editor of Russia's National Defense magazine Igor Korotchenko, said in an interview with Region Plus magazine.

"I can say with confidence that the scale of hostilities with the use of modern weapons - drones, loitering munition, means of high-precision target destruction - is being very carefully studied by the general staff of the leading countries of the world. The world has not yet known such examples when one army, at war with another army, uses so many precision weapons. It is the first such case in world history in terms of the range and intensity of attack drones. Neither the United States nor Russia nor Israel nor any other country in the world has used attack drones on such a scale. UAVs in conflicts of this type have proven their indisputable advantage," the expert said.

He noted that the use of high-precision weapons minimizes civilian casualties.

"From this point of view, Azerbaijan has achieved military success, and at the same time, saved the lives of civilians in Nagorno-Karabakh. I think there will be significant changes in the tactics of conducting combat operations. Of course, the experience of the Azerbaijani army will be studied in detail," – I. Korotchenko said.
