Azerbaijan hands over 10 Armenian servicemen to Armenia

Following the humanism principles, Azerbaijan handed over ten Armenian servicemen to the Armenian side on December 4, 2021, Report informs, citing the Azerbaijani State Security Service.

The Armenian servicemen were detained on November 16, 2021, while preventing the provocation committed by the Armenian Armed Forces in the direction of Kalbajar district on the state border.

Azerbaijan, committed to the principles of humanism, recently ensured the extradition of an Armenian civilian and a serviceman to Armenia on November 26, 2021.

At the same time, as a result of the talks, the Armenian side provided Azerbaijan with mine maps of other liberated territories of Azerbaijan.

The State Security Service expressed gratitude to the Russian Ministry of Defense for its mediation mission in obtaining the mine maps.
