American senator concerned about Armenia's occupation policy

Members of the American-Azerbaijani Society in the United States met with Maine Senator Susan Collins in a video conference, Tarlan Ahmadov, a member of the American-Azerbaijani Society, head of the Azerbaijani community in Maine, told Report's special correspondent.

According to him, community leaders, members, and representatives of many Turkic states from New York, Boston, Houston, and Miami attended the meeting.

Collins spoke about the American-Azerbaijani Society's active work in the United States, especially success association members over the past years. The senator highlighted community immigrants' role in benefiting from government grants and their active involvement in human resources and international cooperation by settling in the US. She said she was ready to provide all necessary support to the Azerbaijani community to increase small business activity, a leading force in the economy.

They also discussed the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict at the conference. The senator expressed concern over the fact that this problem has not been resolved for years, and the Armenians continue the policy of invasion. Collins condemned the recent acts of aggression by the Armenian parts in California against the Azerbaijani community members.

"We live in a civilized country, and everything is based on dialogue," she emphasized, noting the importance of resolving the problem legally and peacefully. The Azerbaijanis stated that the OSCE Minsk Group had not made any progress in the past and that Azerbaijan had chosen and supported a peaceful solution to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
