Baku. 5 June. REPORT.AZ/ Japanese tech company Hitachi has developed the fastest elevator in the world.

The ultra high-speed elevator reached a speed of 1,260 meters per minute, or 75 kilometers per hour.

The record-breaking speed was recorded during a test of the elevator at the CTF Finance Center, a 530-meter tall skyscraper in the city of Guangzhou, China. Elevator reached a top for 25 second.

In May, the elevator reached a top speed of 1,200 meters per minute, or 72 kilometers per hour as its rated speed, and the elevator is now in its final adjustment phase.

The speed of descent in the new elevator will be half that of the climbing speed - 36 km / h. The elevator will reach the first floor in a minute.

Prior to this, the record hit by elevator, also located in China, in the Shanghai Tower. It’s top speed reaches 69 km / h. Elevator from Taiwan closes the top three with speed of 61 km / h.
