Baku. 21 July. REPORT.AZ / Personal collection of American astronaut Neil Armstrong — the man who first set foot on the moon's surface — will be sold at auctions at the Heritage Auctions house in Dallas, Texas, Report informs citing the ABC News.

Things will be auctioned in early November this year, and then in May and November 2019. Buyers will be able to purchase a scout cap belonging to Armstrong and the flag of Purdue University, where the astronaut was trained. These things, as well as pieces of the wing and propeller of the Wright brothers ' flyer plane of 1903, were  taken during a flight to the moon.

Also, the flags of the United States, the United Nations, the American States and silver coins issued in memory of the American space program "Apollo"will go under the hammer. A special lot will be a rare gold coin from the collection of the astronaut.

In 1969, N. Armstrog commanded the crew of the ship "Apollo 11", whose main task was to land on the moon. N. Armstrong and astronaut Buzz Aldrin spent on the moon's surface the Earth 2.5 hours. In 1971, Armstrong left NASA, engaged in teaching and business. The astronaut died in 2012.
