    UK appoints minister for suicide prevention for the first time

    Baku. 10 October. REPORT.AZ/ Jacqueline Doyle-Price has been tasked with ensuring that every local area has effective plans in place to stop unnecessary deaths, and investigating how technology can help identify those most at risk, Report informs citing The Guardian.

    According to the Office of National Statistics of Great Britain, 5,821 people committed suicide in UK in 2017, with suicide listed as the country's main cause of death among men below 45.
